FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about how we work, what things cost, and what accessibility does and doesn't guarantee.
- Is the scan really free?
- Yes. You send us your website address, we run an automated WCAG scan, and we email you a free preview — the total number of issues found and a plain-English taste of the main problem types. That’s genuinely free, with no obligation. The complete report, having us fix everything, and monitoring are the paid services.
- What is WCAG, and which version do you test against?
- WCAG stands for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines — the internationally recognised standard for making websites usable by people with disability. We test against WCAG 2.1 at Level AA, which is the level most commonly referenced in Australia and abroad.
- Will you make my site “compliant” or protect me from being sued?
- No, and we’re careful never to promise that — nobody honestly can. What we do is find, fix, and document specific accessibility problems, and give you a dated record of the work. That genuinely improves your site for real users and shows you took reasonable steps, but it is not legal advice or a legal guarantee. See our disclaimer.
- What's the difference between the free preview and the $99 full report?
- The free preview tells you how many issues we found and gives you a plain-English taste of the main problem types — just the top few, enough to prove you have a problem. The $99 full report is the complete version: every single issue, prioritised worst-first, in plain English, with the specific fix for each one, delivered automatically by email.
- How much does it cost?
- The scan and preview are free. The full report is a one-off $99. Having us fix everything — with signed before/after verification on each issue — starts from $1,900 and is scoped to your site. Monitoring is $30 per month, cancel any time. Full detail is on the pricing page. All prices are in Australian dollars.
- Do I need to give you access to my website?
- Not for the scan, preview, or full report — those all work from your public site, so all we need is the address. If you ask us to fix everything, we’ll agree with you how the fixes get delivered: usually as patched code or a pull request your team merges, or via access you provide and control.
- What do you do with my data?
- We keep only what we need to run the scan and contact you, and we don’t sell it. Full detail — including how outreach emails and unsubscribes work — is in our privacy policy.
- I got an email from you — how did you get my details?
- If we emailed you, it was a one-time message based on a public automated accessibility scan of your website, using a business contact address published on your own site. Every such email has an unsubscribe link that stops any further contact immediately. We explain this in our privacy policy.
- Can I cancel monitoring?
- Yes — monitoring is month to month with no lock-in contract. You can cancel any time and it stops at the end of the current billing period. See refunds & cancellations.
- Do you work with sites that aren't in Australia?
- We can. WCAG is an international standard, so the testing and fixes apply anywhere. We’re Australian-based, so billing is in Australian dollars and support runs on Australian business hours.
